Who am I? Somebody that knows if you give it your all and persevere, you could truly reach all your goals in life. In the beginning, it didn’t seem that way coming from a single parent home living in Jane and Driftwood. It was dog eat dog, every man for them self, and believe it or not, those are the skills needed to make it in the world. Here we are today, after getting shot and going to jail. It’s easy to think your life is hopeless but I stayed optimistic. One thing I know about me is that I’m not scared of taking risks and always wanting to try new things. My mentor helped me get into public speaking and it was very therapeutic, not just for the young people I work with but for myself. I’ve been doing meaningful work within the courtrooms, the courthouse, and high schools. Helping young people graduate and get them to go to post-secondary makes me feel like I have purpose… makes me feel meaningful. I Am Anthony French.
