An Only Child Surrounded By Family.
Some say it’s a blessing, and others say it can be a curse. Always having your older cousins to look up to is a good way to stay on track and out of trouble. But people aren’t always going to be there. Sometimes life gets the best of us and we have to make those life-changing decisions. At times I feel that I really have them around in spirit, whether I am using skills they taught me, or trying to figure out a situation for myself. They may be known as my cousins, but in truth, they are my brothers and sisters. We grew up together in a loving, supportive family and we look after one another when we can. The space between us could never change that. My role models showed me how to overcome and to never give up. It’s been a challenge learning to do so on my own, but I think I’m getting better day by day. Slowly but surely.
